The fibre was restored at 01:31:25 EDT August 25. The 10G circuit is up and in service.

The damage has been located and it is located 15km from South Branch, NL. A dump truck has broken a pole and torn both the power and communication lines. The provider's repair team needs to wait for the pole to be replaced and the power line be fixed before accessing the damaged fibre.

The provider is aware of a fibre break that is impacting the 10G circuit. The provider is continuing to trace the exact location of the fibre cut.

 the 10G circuit Charlottetown-St. John's circuit is down.  Network traffic is rerouted automatically. No services impacted during the outage.
