Service provider repair crews found services were impacted by a splice case in Hawleyton, NY which was full of frozen water. Following the thawing of this splice case, we are seeing services restored as of 2024-01-17 21:42:53 EST.

The service provider reported that the outage was due to fibers being frozen inside a splice case. The techs in the field are currently working on thawing the fibers out to restore services. No ETR at this moment.

The 100G circuit between TORONRO-New York is currently down and the service provider is seeing a bi-directional span degrade between Binghamton NY and Peckville PA. The service provider has completed shooting OTDR. They are currently evaluating the results and will provide an additional update.
