The fiber is restored and the optical system is working since 17:06EST.  

Fibre replacement underway, due to the nature of the repair, ETR is 7PM Atlantic.

The splicers have arrived on-site and are assessing the damage. ETA is not available yet. Updates will be sent out as son as info becomes available.

The provider has been aware of the fiber cut. A repair team has been dispatched and ETA is 3 hours.

Our optical network between Springhill and Truro is experiencing an outage. Fiber cut is suspected and the provider has been contacted. The 100G circuit Fredericton-Halifax and Moncton-Halifax are being affected, network traffic is automatically re-routed via diverse path. Update will be sent out as soon as info becomes available.
