The provider has confirmed the fiber repair was completed and service impact was over.  The ticket is closed.

The fiber repair is not completed yet. With fiber splicing going on, our optical network is restored and services have been up.

Repair crews started the repair work.  Due to the severity of the damage, no ETR is given currently. Updates will be send out as soon as info is available.

Splice and construction crews have dispatched and enroute to the fault site.

The provider has located the fiber cut approximately 6 miles west of Niles, MI.   Splice and construction crews will be dispatched to the site soon.  Updates will be sent out as info becomes available.

The CANARIE optical network is experiencing  an outage at Chicago area. Fiber cut is suspected and the provider has been contacted.  Update will be sent out as soon as info is available.
