The fiber break has been fixed. The optical network in Regina has been restored and network services have been up in service.

The provider is aware of the outage, and suspected it was caused by a fire in downtown Regina.  After further infestation into the alarms, the line fibers between Regina and Calgary, Regina and Winnipeg are being affected. No ETR is given currently, the provider  will have a better idea of the timeframe for service restoration once the damage has been assessed.

The optical network is experiencing an outage between Calgary and Regina. Fiber cut is suspected and the provider has been contacted. The 400G backbone link Calgary-Regina is affected and the network traffic is re-routed automatically.
